With so much to build, it was only ever going to be a very brief acalmy on the fibre front...

Our hunger for data consumption and bytes is a gold rush... And like the gold rush was a God sent for spades sellers, this gold rush has its own spades sellers: fibre network builders...

New entrant Zzoomm is set to launch, targeting unbuild areas and looking at suburbs and smaller cities.

Very slowly the mosaic of fibre networks are being build, pockets by pockets.  Yet still the geographic coverage seems to progress infuriatingly slow. It is disappointing that compared with other European countries, so few homes and businesses have access to fibre in the UK.

On the plus side, this means there is still need for a lot of spades for the altnets to make and exploit... No doubt more news soon!
