It’s minus 3 here in Davos and I’m surrounded by thought-provoking debates and discussions on globalisation and co-operation.

Platforms are where real growth is now happening, in a climate otherwise characterised by huge levels of uncertainty, disruption and change.  Algorithms, new data types and developments in design are making these businesses more and more utilised, and hence valuable. A key challenge is how and where to invest.

Davos is a global shop window for investors to browse through the opportunities.

CMS will be livestreaming our reception at 3pm CET today, which features a one-one-one with Sheryl Sandberg, Chief Operating Officer of Facebook Inc, and Christian Sewing, Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank AG.

There’s also a panel discussion, with a stellar line-up including Craig Dawson (Executive Partner, IBM Automation Platform Leader Europe), Olivier Grémillon (Vice President,, Annabelle Gawer (Chaired Professor in Digital Economy; Director, Surrey Centre of Digital Economy) and my esteemed colleague Dóra Petrányi, a Partner at CMS.
